My nana known as babs by all her friends and family was the greatest woman to ever grace this earth,
She was wife to Charlie mum to James, Carol, Janet and cha. Nana to me (kelly) Gran to Terry, Emma
and Amy and granny to micheal. She had 8 great grandchildren although she only met 3 of them i know
she loved them all the same, there names are, charlie 8, kyle 5, callum 15 months, Dylan 6, paige 5,
callum 3, cameron 2 and lewis 1month..
We all loved her very much.. I would do anything to have her back with us..
She fought to the very end thats my nana she would never give up n anything easily..
Thank you to all you kind people who have already lit candles xx
It all started in feb when my nana had got up in the night to use the toilet n her foot slipped out
of her slipper she fell over and came crashin down on her hip and broke it she spent some weeks in
the hospital as she needed a operation after witch she went to the astley ainsley hospital for
physio 2 help her walk again my nana had a lot of heath prolems to start with but it was from then
that they really became so much worse her heart and kidneys started to fail and wee were told to
fear the worste but like the mirical we had prayed for she all of a sudden got so much better she
even elt well enough for the hospital hairdresses 2 come nd perm her hair it was this day that i
took the kids 2 visit along with my camera and i took the best pics that i have seen of my nana in
years she looked so good and even had her faulse teeth in.. (something he had never done in such a
long time)
She looked glowin i can still remember luaghin when her brother jimmy said she looked like red rum
lol...
Then just two weeks later on the st i went to visit and she looked so ill she was sleeping with a
oxegen mask on and been given stong pain killers wich made her sleep, whe i left i phoned my mum and
she went see her on the sunday with my auntie carol and when they got there they phoned me, my mum
was crying so i knew it was bad news. She told me my nana had been moved to the private room and was
so ill they didnt think she would make it through the night. But my nana bein as strong and stuburn
as she was must have thought oh no im not going yet i want everyone here at the same time.. She
turned to my mum and said james(thats her sons name) My mum replyed kellys here ma.. and she said
bairns meanin my children i told her they were fine and where in the house.. She then turned to my
autie carol and said james again thats when carol told her that she had phoned him and he was on his
way and so was her brother jimmy, also that her husband and youngest son cha were on there way 2..
While we waited we sat and chatted to her alough she was driftin in and out of a deep deep sleep she
would let us know every now and then that she was still here i kept rubbing her hand and telling her
how much i loved her.. we all did that.. Then about 1 am her brother jimmy and her son james arrived
looking so worried as we all were and for the first time in many many years my nana was in the same
room as her husband 4 children and her brother i was the only grandchild there but i felt so pleased
because i know my nana would have loved having every1 in the same room at the same time...
She got weaker and weaker as the hours passed though and her breathing became very slow we all knew
wot was happening but didnt want 2 say at 1 point i was holding her hand when she just stopped
breathing for wot felt like ages and i was sayin please nana breathe and finaly she did.. u see i
just wasnt ready for her 2 go im still not ready she should be here with us not up there with the
angels.
IM SO SORRY BUT I CANT FINISH WRIGHTING THIS JUST NOW AS I CAN HARDLEY SEE THE SCREAN FOR TEARS I
WILL FINISH ANOTHER TIME
